Shabby Chic Canvas

Hi all

My second post for today as I have now finished my altered canvas and wanted to share with you all.

Do you remember the Shabby Chic flowers I made well some of those I wanted for this canvas so I shall call it my Shabby canvas

I first started by thinly coating the canvas in a pale pink crackle paint once dried I stenciled a raised honey comb pattern in the middle with Martha Steward texture, I had to let this dry overnight, then painted again with pale pink glitter paint, I also added a strip of white fiber mesh this was the backing finished.
You can just see the texture and mesh below

Both the fairys and toadstool have been decoupaged and the wings have been glazed so have all the butterflys, I made the skirts out of gause and bling and added bling to the toadstool.

I folded the ribbon on the side and glued with a glue gun then add the big bling piece and pearls to finish

Lace was tucked under the fairys and folded to make a ripple effect then added pearls to the ripples. the corner you can see one of my flowers with bling and pearls.

I cut the saying out of the same paper and surounded with pearls from my bead stash and a clear pearl drop.

The bird I found in a cheap shop and just had to have them, perfect for this canvas.
Just above the bird is a die cut bird cage I inked and added to the piece of fabric.

The heart was a present from a friend I wanted to add, the pin I made myself and another of my shabby flowers with  a piece of netting behind it.

To finish this off I added a metal butterfly and bling strand with more pearls for added texture.

I really enjoyed making this and hope you enjoyed seeing it even though it was a long post.

Thanks for popping in and leaving me your comments I do appriciate it.

Happy Mothers Day to my lovley mom whom I have just spoken to, love you mom, and to all my blogging moms out there hope your all having a lovely day.

I have not been blogging for a few weeks as I have had so much work on and darn it all I forgot to take pictures of the commision cards and books I did agggg but the cash came in handy lol.

I do have a card to show you today, this image is called Goth Girl by Sugar Nellie I bought 6 new stamps in this range, love them.

I coloured her with copic and kept the card quiet simple.

I also got asked today if I could do a card kit that includes a bit of stamping and colouring with pensils at the school so children can give their moms a card at the end of the month, four seperate class with 20 children in each,1 hour per class (need ideas) please, I was thinking maybe a flower or a butterfly (ready stamped) to colour and added die cut butterflys to decorate, then they can stamp the sentiment, what do you think?

Sugar Nellie - Anything Goes

OK all for now as I have some more commisions to finish, see you all later after my cup of tea and cake.
