Shabby Chic Necklace

Hi Everyone

Today I have a Shabby Chic necklace to show you, I have been keeping myself busy as Brian is away in the UK for his checks, Its so quiet in the house and I have started to chat to myself ekkkk my dining table is covered in jewellery things and the good thing is I don't have to clear it away lol as he is not here.

My craft room has things drying on the table as I am doing a mixed media project and I have just finished making plaster of paris box's for my shabby chic projects and images coloured and ready for the cards to be put together so its all go here.

Oh stop rabbiting Linda and get on with it hahaha back to my necklace now.

Shabby Chic Choker

Hi Everyone

I have been busy in my craft room while Brian has been resting he's doing ok but very tired, I created some shabby chic chokers and cuffs.

They are made with vintage lace, ribbon, bling and buttons very difficult to get the right picture because of the reflection on the bling brooch.

I took another picture this time laying it flat and this came out better so you can see it now. It has 5 layers of lace, I so love lace, I could do with some more ekkkk stop it Linda

The back of the choker but I think I could have tied the bow better, I would tie it smaller next time.

This one is a cuff I made also with 5 layers of lace and a vintage material rose.

This is made so you can put your thumb through it or without and pull it further up your

wrist.

Finally I made pouches to put them in with a vintage button for the fastener.

Well that's my creations I made this week now back to my card orders and more shabby chic wired necklaces to make. Could not find a challenge today to put them in, shame.

Hubby update and canvas

Hi Everyone
An update on Brian, he is doing very well and eating quiet well, pleased about that, he does get tired very easily but that is expected, he is also getting very bored at home as he is so use to been busy ah well these things come to test us but at least he is back home now and that makes me very happy.

The operation went very well but they cannot remover the tumour or the 7 others he has but they can give him treatment to stop it growing its a bit complicated so I can not explain it or my blog post would be a mile long, I am just happy he is not in pain and recovering very well and he is itching to get back to work. 

While he was in hospital I made this canvas the picture is of my granddaughter, loved doing this, I got the idea off a lady on utube but I cannot remember her name when I find it I will post it as she does awesome mixed media things.

Hi All

 I will be back blogging as soon as I can.

 Brian has had to go in hospital again as they found another tumour in his liver, he was operated on yesterday and is recovering very well and I hope he will be well enough to come out soon.

The last few weeks we have been under a lot of strain and stress till we found out what was going on, it does not get any easier but at least we know now and something can be done about it.

I have created a few things but not had the inclination to post, just wanted to let you know I have not disappeared and have been lurking round your blogs but was not in the mood to do comments, sorry about that, aha I have become a stalker on my ipad.

If the shoe fits

Hi All

Very apt this card! If the Shoe fits!! because I do buy lol I keep all my shoes in box's with a picture on the front so I do not have to look in all the box's when I need that special pair I know bit over the top but it works for me.

I do have to resort to seeking them in now as hubby thinks I have far to many oh bags as well but that is another story, anyway I digress and back to my card.

The image is a Bugaboo and coloured with Copic, I have been saving this paper as it is my last piece sob sob I love it also the combination of Pink and Green.

Birthday Celebration and Bracelet

Hi Everyone,

 Hope your all having a lovely romantic day, we are going out for dinner tonight, steak. fish (for him) and a few drinks yummy, looking forward to it. I can show off my new hair do, I had it cut and burgandy streaks put in, I think I must be rebelling or going through a mid life crisis lol.


 Anyway onto my card it's a Birthday Celebration.

I used a Bugaboo image and coloured her with Copic, this is for a friends Birthday so I hope she likes it.

I also finished my bracelet that I wanted to show you.

It's odd count peyote made with silver beads, flowers, swarovski bicon's, pearls, silver leafs and lots of silver bling and to finish I added  a ruffle.

It has a zip clasp on it.

Rock Boy Card

Hi Everyone

Today I have a boy card to show you, it is a Kenny K image and coloured with Copic.

The papers are from a pad just for boys and I love it as I have a hard time finding papers for men and boys.
I use a punch with musical notes from EK and kept the negatives to put in the corner of the image, I also decorated the inside to match oops forgot to take pic of that bit ekk.

I have been so busy with orders lately I have not had time to blog or pop round to see you, sorry about that but it does earn me a bit of pin money to spend on more stash ekkk more stash I hear Brian say lol.

All orders finished for now so I can have a little hop around and see what's going on and what I have missed.

Just finished my Valentine orders and this is the first card I have to show you today.

Love this image from Meljen's and coloured with Copic pens and added sparkle with Bo Bunny papers, sentiments are computer generated.

My Craft Room

Hi All

Today I thought I would show you my craft room, it's in bit of a state but by this afternoon it will be tidy again hehehe.

As I walk from my lounge to my craft room, I am lucky because they join by glass doors so I can still chat with hubby at the same time as I am crafting and keep my eye on him when he is ill,

This is one side where I keep my inks, paints, pens,chalks, oil and other pastles, sprays gesso etc, below that I have 2 sets of white drawers that I keep ribbon and flowers in and on top of that my folders of nessties and other dies, below the home sweet home I keep all my lace and charms and Tim Holtz things.

Then we move to the other side I keep all my button collection in the grey drawers and jars, love buttons especially vintage. Stamps above that, these are the ones I use the most. My racks of paper and I have 2 more the other side of the room next to that all my quilting stuff. I keep my copic refills and spare pens above the telly. Below the telly I keep jewellery gems and stones, next door, drawers I have more stamps and albums and die cuts.

 Moving alone this is more of my jewellery making things and boxes of stones and other gems plus kits.
Oh the little drawers are from my pro markers so cute.

More paper and jewellery things

Moving along my little desk I keep my cameo and sewing machine and you can see into the lounge,

Under the desk I keep sketching pads, journals and painting canvas's

The wall near my patio doors I keep my stensils, more ink pads, glitter, more tim holtz and punches.

Back to the beginning and my other table I keep my other machines and gismos on and my lovely copic

Geez I have far too much stuff  Vagabone, cuttlebug, big shot, grand calebra, a silhouette cameo and cricut, binding machine, but I love it all lol.

My Beautiful Granddaughter

Hi everyone

I hope your all well and having fun crafting, I am much better now and feel on top notch and ready to craft like mad.

I would like to share with you a mixed media scrapbook page I did of my granddaughter Caitylin, this picture was taken when we went to Turkey, so many to do!!!  not all like this I might add as this was an experiment but I do like it.

I used paint,stencils, inks, layers of Bo Bunny papers, textured paste, beads, flowers, lace, punches, bling, pearls and pins oh anything else I could get my hands on hehehe.

I hope you like it as much as I do, working on my second one and then I have orders for Valentine cards I must get finished. I do have projects for some workshops I am doing and I will show you those later, you will all be sick of me posting too much if I give you them all at once lol.

Mixed Media Today

Hi Everyone

A bit of mixed media art today for you, this is a canvas that I did using my new goodies I got for my B/D the first time I have had a chance to experiment again and I loved it.

I used acrylic paints, wax crayons and stencil's on the background and different washes to get the effect I wanted, just go with the flow I say and I did ! not knowing what the outcome would be and really had a good time in the process. 

The hearts are 3 dimensional but unfortunately I could not get the picture to show that but I am sure you will get what I mean, I also used modelling medium mixed with pink paint on the small one to get a raised effect.

The house I just doodled along with other bits of doodling using pitt pens and finally added text that says Home is where the Heart is, oh forgot to say I did add a bit of string to the top.


This is the first chance I had to post since before Christmas as I have been ill, I caught the worst cold going and it went straight to my chest and completely floored me, never felt so ill in all my life and I only just getting myself back together again but still have the most horrendous cough that I cannot shift but hey ho I am back on my feet :-).
