New Release from Meljen Designs at Whimsy

Hi all
I hope you’re all doing well today and the weather is perfect for you, like it is here for me, it’s this time of year we can open the doors and windows for a change, we have to make the most of it before it gets very hot again.

Onto my card for today and we see a new release from Meljen designs and I decided to do this beautiful boot she created,you can find all the new images at Whimsy Stamps , I followed the sketch over at Papertake Weekly.

The papers are from a K and Co pad I had forgotten about, I found it when I was having a tidy up, I found a whole stack of pads I had forgotten I had, under a pile of magazines, so nice looking through them. I coloured the image with copic, glitter pen, with pearls, flowers ,brad and a spacer to finish.

Bugaboo Image

Hi All

Busy days in my craft room again as I decided to have a sort out and the only thing I have left to do is catalogue my stamps, but that will take me ages as I have not done the last lot lol also some things to go on the wall, I did ask hubby but that was ages ago, a gentle reminder me thinks. I did have time to put some cards together, so here is one of them.

 A Bugaboo card with a lovely character on it, I made this for my friend in the UK who helped me so much when Brian was first diagnosed with cancer and still does every day, the best friend anyone could have.

I so love this image, I coloured it with Pro Markers, the check paper is Basic Grey and the pink spotty is from Bo Bunny and inking the edges with tattered rose distressing ink.  I used flowers, butterfly, lace and pearls to finish, the swirl was done on Cricut and that’s it.

Good to be Back

Hi Everyone and it’s good to be back with you all after a week in the hotel away from the unrest, it is good to be back home and have familiar things about me and I missed my craft room so much, it is safe, although there is still some unrest here so the tanks and forces stay in place but I don’t think things will ever be the same.

The hotel was superb and the food excellent especially the desserts lol so yummy, I just lounged about and did nothing really. 

I did take some Bugaboo images to colour as I have a few card orders for these and I have to say they saved me from getting total bored with just sitting about plus I was asked quite a few times if I could make the card there and then and sell them aggg typical when I have no crafting stuff with me but I did get a few more orders, so you will be seeing quite a few Bugaboo cards in the next week when I get them made.

I also took my jewellery making things with me and managed to finish a bracelet which I sold the same day, so all in all a good week at the hotel, so onto my card which fell in well with Catch the Bug challenge Monochromatic as I did it all pink.

I thought I would show the bracelet I made too.

Candle and Being Moved

Hi All Lots to go through tonight as I will not be crafting until further notice so I will give you my news now.

We had very good news from the hospital in the UK , Brian went to have his test at the Royal Marsden, a full week of coming and going and test after test and then having to wait a week for the results, GOOD NEWS, his cancer is still stable and the treatment is doing it’s thing, in keeping it at bay.

We do not have to go back to the hospital until October now (fingers crossed) which is good news too, he is looking good and feeling like his old self againJ with this treatment he is on.

My next new is rather bleak, as I was crafting this afternoon we had a call from the company Brian works for to be ready to move at 9 in the morning as we are be moved to a hotel near the airport.

All company employees have to meet at a certain place, we will all go by convoy and have a police escort to move us to the other side of Manama, we can only take a small suitcase and personal belongings with us, on a lighter note, that’s the whole of my craft room that’s personal to me, any way I have got my jewellery, money and passport at the ready, now I just have to pack, a situation like this and I have no idea what to pack.

I hate leaving my house as it’s all personal stuff to us both but they say it will be safe, I do hope so or I shall have to come begging to you my kind friends for crafty stuff lol.

I thought I might as well show you my creation I did this afternoon as I don’t know when I will get to craft or blog again, it’s just a little candle I did with a new Whimsy image by Chrissy.

Whimsy Creations New Release

Hi Everyone

I have just got back from the UK and the flight was delayed aggg I sitting around waiting.
I see blogger did not do his job so I have quickly come to upload my cards, I have combined yesterday and todays together and I shall be back later.

So welcome to day 4 of our Sneak peeks for the new March rubber stamp release on March 16! At Whimsy Stamps.

Today is the Whimsy Designers choice of sneak peek stamps, showing some of the new March release stamps.


I used the stamps illustrated by Crissy Armstrong, and I have used Celebrate Big! for the first one and Benny and Joon have Cake I also used one of Rain Drop Echo Designs Sentiments from her Treasured Moments Ticket collection.

Meljen Digi Release at Whimsy

Hi All I hope blogger is going to upload this for me as I should be on my way to the UK  if everything has gone to plan, I have got my woollies packed as I was told it’s a wee bit cold brrrr.

Today we see another digi release from Meljen Design from Whimsy, I chose the image Hi There, so darn cute, Mel is just amazing with her digi's, I coloured it with Pro Markers.

Decorating the card with ribbon, lace, flowers and cut out some leafs from the same paper, I also found some brown twill which I tied round the knot on the ribbon bow and down the side under the ribbon and lace, to finish I found these domed glass beads in my stash and added them to the corners and on some on the swirls.

For my card today I have used the image called Whatzup Dog and he’s so cute, I coloured him water coloured pencils and distress the papers and image with Tim Holtz Antique Linen, the sentiment is computer generated and I finished with ribbon and pearls.
