Music the Food of Loveeeeeeeeeee

Evening All

Has anyone else had trouble with blogger? I could not leave comments last night and this morning I could not even get on, hence thats why I am late posting.

My card for today I used a La La Land dig stamp, yes Irena is now doing her stamps in Digi form, love this as I cannot always get the new up to date Lal La stamps here.

I coloured her with my favourite medium copic and drew flowers on her guitar and gave her suitcase a spotty look, the blue flowers and sentiment I made myself, white flowers W/O.

Both the blue papers are Fabscrap and the music paper is from My Minds Eye, swirl is a Magnolia die and the leafs are a Mcgill punch finishing with pearls from my stash.

Challenges I would love to enter.

Whoopsi Daisy Challenge

Hi Everyone.

Before I get to the challenge for this week I want to share with a  new Daisy & Friends at Christmas CD by Joanna Sheen featuring artwork by Linnie -  it's packed full of Linnies cute, hand-drawn character illustrations and there are coloured and non-coloured digistamp versions of every topper .

You can have a look inside the CD HERE and you can see lots of lovely samples HERE and of course you can purchase a copy HERE.

Now onto the challenge for Whoopsi Daisy  and this week  TWO PATTERNED PAPERS - a nice easy one for you again, we must be able to see at least two patterned papers, more than two is fine but not less.

I used sheet sheet 380 you can get this in a pre-coloured or just colour it yourself , as I was short of time this week I used the pre-coloured one. The swirl is from a Magnolia die and the holly is Bo Bunny as are the papers.

I had trouble with my internet yesterday so I shall be round to see you today, thank you for popping in to see me and I shall be back later with another creation.

Canvas Project

Good Afternoon everyone, I hope your all having a wonderful day today, it's hot here and very humid so I went out early to do the dreaded grocery shopping, it's all put away, all my jobs done, had my lunch, now it's time to spend on a little hop around your blogs and then into my craft room.

So today I have a canvas to show you, I still have to put a picture in it yet which will go above the love letters, I still have to shrink it down to fit but still get the picture looking good, this will be of my hubby in a tux and grand children in their wedding outfits.

The canvas was painted white to begin with then added texture was given to the swirls with puff embossing powder which you can just see where the pearls are, the corners were inked with distressing ink.

Another smaller canvas was added just off to the right side, the bird cage and letters are done with crackle paint and fixed with a glue gun.

I picked different shades of pink and white flowers from W/O to curve round the birdcage.

The swirl is very pale yellow to match the butterfly at the bottom. I added white pins, punched leafs, sentiment and pearls to finish it off.

I do hope you like it as I was very pleased with how it turned out.

It's all quiet in the house, Brian is asleep in his recliner as he just got home from  having his treatment so I am trying to be quiet!!! not an easy task for me lol so I shall go in my craft room after finishing this post and do some colouring.

Today is Anything but a card Monday over at Catch the Bug and I have a plaque to show you I made for my friend in the UK (miss you).

I started with a blank artist canvas board and watered down some Claudia Hellmuth pink acrylic paint as I wanted it to be like a washed look when finished . I attached some antique lace I founds in the souq here and also some seam binding, flowers and butterfly all from Wilds Orchid Crafts.

The image I used is from the Bug store and called Heels Polka Dot which I coloured with Copic and the Tim Holtz die is called Bird Cage, love this die and use it quiet a lot.

The sentiment is computer generated

Pearls and pins from my stash.
