Messy Rabbit Stamp and Challenge.

Hello everyone, hope your all having a good day, well the weather has change again here and we have high winds, but warm with it so thats not too bad. I got a deliver of crafting goodies today, some new Nessties, Ebossing folders and some Copice Pens which I have been waiting for. I have had a lot of trouble getting to grips with my Whisper Pens and decided to invest in some Copice, so I hope I have more luck in my colouring now. I also got some Magnolia and Messy Rabbit stamps ohhhh I'm a happy chappy. I got straight to work on a Messy Rabbit stamp and this is the result which I shall be entering to the ABC Challenge which is C for child and the Cute Card Thursday which was to have an animal on your card, hope you like it.

Challenge

This weeks challenge at Arty Glirlz is butterflies and I designed this Thank You card for my friend in the UK who sent me a bag she made herself, it just beautiful, so I combined the two together which was perfect as she like butterflies.

I decided to do a challenge today as it seems ages since I entered one and I had to make a thank you card for a friend so I combined them both for My Time to Craft Challenge Blog. I love this 3d decoupe fairies and I know my friend likes them too so this was a bonus, it was a real joy to make and just happens to be one of my favourite colours too, hope you like it.

Blog Candy Alert, Birthday Card and Announcement.

I have been asked to be on the design team for a new challenge blog, so excited to be a part of this. The challenge blog is called The Cute Daisy May and I hope you will all participate in helping it become a success. Now on to my card for today, which is embossed with different birthday motifs, then lightly dabbed with pale pink chalk, the flower is pink cardboard with some fluffy stuff for the centre (don’t know what else to call it lol) and a bit of sparkle. The planter is a piece of coloured card I had in a drawer decorated with a bit of bling and all came together with the added bit of wire and hey presto a card.

First I would like to thank everyone for their kind words for my friend, she is away as you know but will be back here soon, she told me to say thank you to you all.

Now on to my creation I made with my blog candy win I received from Linnie at LinniePinks she also has a store with these templates that are for sale, its called Helping Hands .

This is a template for an ornate door but when I looked at it, it reminded me of my grans wardrobe. I remember this imposing beast of a thing when I was little and when you are small it was quiet frightening, funny what you remember lol. Anyway getting back to my creation I decided I would not make an ornate door creation but turn it into a wardrobe instead and this is the result. I really enjoyed making this even though the trim was a bit frustrating at times but I got there in the end, hope you like it.

I would also like to tell you about a new challenge blog called THE CUTE DAISY MAY CHALLENGE BLOG..keep watching out for their very first challenge. Sympathy

I made this card today thinking of my friend who arrives from the UK tomorrow, she lost her father yesterday and will be flying to South Africa (where he lived) from here to be with her family.
So from tomorrow till after the weekend there will be no posts on my blog as I need to be with her before she leaves but I will be looking around your blogs later in the night when everyone has popped off to bed.

So here's the card which I found difficult to make as I did not want it to be too fussy but enough to showed we cared and this is what I came up with.

These are 1.25x4.25 folded pieces of scraps, pieces you have left over from your card makes, stamped and embellished in any way you like The one below is a smaller version of the card with giraffes, so now I have a record of what dies, paper and colours I used but you can make them anything you like.







This is the only thing I had time to make today as the dust was calling and someone (mentioning no names but there is only two of us in this house) wrote their name it, but I am glad to say the sand storm is over yippee and he with no name was told you do it again and you will be doing the dusting lol, so a nice dust free house and smelling of cranberry’s from the candles.

I'v had a card show on the Funky Fairy Inspirations Blog, they wanted to share some cards that had been made with their papers and I was one of them ohhhh so pleased.

Challenge and Boy Card

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good day, tonight I did a challenge for My Time to Craft and you had to incoporate some gold somewhere. I did a boy card with giraffes (that I layered) and used gold foil (that I embossed with swiss dots) in the picture frame. I did have trouble taking this picture because of the reflection, hope you like it.

Hubby bought me my favourite perfume today I just adore Channel, so he got heaps of brownie points lol, we both cooked dinner and drank champagne (another of my favourites yummy) and Fred the dishwaser did the dishes. Life can be total bliss sometimes. Have a good day or night all and Happy Valentines.

Girl Dress

Good Evening all, hope you all had a good day, we had a big sand storm here today and I have got half of it in my lounge at the moment, and it's forcast for tomorrow as well, so no dusting till it's over because it will be just as bad the next day, good excuse not to do it lol.

I had to take this picture tonight and I just could not get the light right so please forgive the quality, the birthday message is actually pale pink but looks a lot pinker (no idea why) Tomorrow I have a wedding card to do but at this moment no ideas come to mind, the only thing I do know, it will be a clean and simple one. Off to see what my blogging friends have been upto now, have a good night all.

Challenges and Faires

Today I totally forgot I had a little girls Birthday tomorrow so I had to do a rush card, so it was back to the faires again plus she is a pink and lilac girl (two of my favourite colours). I am going to enter it into Sketch Saturday.




Not long before my friend arrives now and to answer Sallys question yes she is a crafter too so we will be having craft days like we did last time, it's so good to craft with someone else as you both get to swap ideas. Last time she was here she got addicted to my Cuttlebug and as soon as she got home she bought one lol, so now we have more to chat about.

Off to look at some of my favourite blogs now and see what everyone has been creating.

Decoupage Lady

This card is for a friend to say thank you for all the card goodies she will be bringing with her next week when she arrives here with her husband. So excited she is coming to stay again as she only left a month ago lol, the flight was a good offer not to be missed and besides the weather in the UK is terrible.
Anyway back to the card, because I had no Mojo at all today (had trouble thinking of something to create) I decided to go clean, simple and minimalistic so this is the result.

Hello everyone, Today I did a card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, the stamp is by Inkadinkado which I could not resist buying as I just love fairies. I embossed it first in purple powder then coloured it and add a bit of bling, I also did the inside too with glittery fairies dust or so I shall tell my grandaughter, hope you like it and off to see some of your creations now.

Black, Lime Green and Pink

Black, Lime Green and Pink Card

Hello everyone, this morning was my Mah-jong game (I play every Sunday morning with a group of ladies here) and while I was playing I thought of this card. The card is Black, Lime Green and Pink and made from silver peel offs, which I coloured, except the flower of course, which is a die cut. You can not see it very well on the photo but the outline of the dress in Lime, and of course the tag to match. I did decorate the inside of this because when I opened it up, the verse I had printed onto the card was upside down, oops, anyone else done this lol.
Oh by the way I lost Mah-jong by a 100 points agggg.

Flower Card and Challenge

The paper is a present from a friend; it comes from a book collection of all different colours and textures. The topper in the circle, I can not remember where I got these but I happen to have a box full, must be at least 20 in there, I quiet like them and they make quick and easy cards. I also did some stamping today, which I did enjoy! But did not use the whisper pens as they drove me crazy last time, I used paint instead and I am quite happy with the results, I will make the card tomorrow.

Baby card and Tag

Baby card and tag tonight, I did not have time to create today so this is one I did last week.

I went to my favourite shop that had a half price sale on and buy a sale item and get one free, well I spent longer in there than I had intended, but wow was I a happy bunny when I came out (big grin). It was made even better as I had my eye on these Egyptian Cotton Towels in Turquoise, brilliant in the sale and half price wooopie, anyway enough of my ramblings here's the card.

For now this will be my last art deco lady as I don’t want you all to get fed up with me, but I do love the art deco period and the clothes are just beautiful. I did this for the Caardvarks challenge which had to include a heart on the card. I have entered this for the Mojo Monday Contest. as well as it fits the sketch there too.

Pink art deco lady that I entered for the Funky Fairys Challenge for this challenge it was dots and ribbons and you had to use a Funky Fairy papercraft item on your card, mine was the dotted background paper that I downloaded when I went on their Funky Fairy Express Train and that was fantastic with all their free downloads and tutorials, I also added some pink jewels in the corners.

Fan

This fan card set out to be a quick card after my confusing day today but has it happens it turned out to be the longest time I have spent on a card. Measuring everything out and cutting each piece took me longer than I thought, anyway this is the front of the card and you just pull the bow to open.

This is the inside, I still have the sentiment to put in down one of the side panels but can not decide what to put in yet and the fan part it cut seperate then slotted all together, the plan panels of the fan are a bluey lilac even though they look pink on here. I do have a few adjustments to make as I have just noticed the front panel is a bit wobbley and I have decided after looking at it now to change the ribbon on the fan to a darker colour but then again the ribbon matches the one on the front, what do you think?.
